Club Cafe, Pittsburgh, PA

Fellow Pittsburgh songwriters Christopher Mark Jones and Dan Getkin will each play a small band set for this Sunday special event. Note the early start time.

Christopher Mark Jones sings soulful country and blues-inflected Americana narratives in “a rich voice that’s slightly rough around the edges” (Scott Mervis, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), with echoes of “Greg Brown's pacing and a Lyle Lovett attitude” (Ben Shannon), as well as of John Prine, Bruce Coburn and Darrell Scott. He'll be celebrating his 6th album of original songs, Looking For The Light, which was released in April of 2021.

Dan Getkin is an alt-country songwriter from Pittsburgh. His are energetic songs, songs with passion, songs that will lift the roof off of the house. Fans of Jackson Browne, Wilco, and Kathleen Edwards will appreciate the balance of strong songwriting and enthusiastic live performance. In late 2018, Getkin released “Feeling Good About the End Times”, a collection of topical and timeless songs which was named the 4th best album of that year by Pittsburgh's 91.3 WYEP-FM.
