CHRISTOPHER MARK JONES @ First Unitarian Church

First Unitarian Church, Pittsburgh, PA

Christopher Mark Jones draws from folk, country, blues, jazz and r ’n’ b sources to stage his literate folk rock meditations. Using diverse points-of-view to narrate and critique life and love in uncertain times, he invites listeners to think, feel and dance. For the SongSpace series his band will include cousin Dave Gillespie on guitar and vocals, Mark Perna on bass, and Eric George on drums. Alex Meleshenko will do an opening set of his unique guitar arrangements on guitars he builds himself. (photo credit David Graham)

CHRISTOPHER MARK JONES @ Trinity House Theatre

Trinity House Theatre, Livonia, MI

Happy to be returning to my favorite Michigan music venue, the Trinity House Theater in Livonia. I’ll be joined for the occasion by frequent bandmates cousin Dave Gillespie on guitar and vocals and Greg Winters on fretless bass and vocals. Since the last appearance I’ve released Looking for the Light in 2021, plus a French album Montréal Encore in collaboration with the Quebec poet Bernard Pozier. The Livonia show will include a mix of songs from my entire recorded catalogue (8 albums and counting).
